Climbing the Learning Curve

In Coaching, we encourage our clients to “step out of their comfort zone.” Life is filled with many small risks that encourage our growth. And, it’s not always comfortable or easy.

What I have learned about taking on challenges is to do so with a low bar for expectations. Don’t strive to be perfect in the beginning. Be willing to experiment. Take on small pieces of the challenge, maybe even one piece at a time. Don’t compare yourself. Don’t judge yourself. It’s okay to make mistakes. We improve and become masters by applying ourselves over and over again.

You may have a goal you want to achieve. But don’t forget to enjoy the process along the way. Make it fun. Bring some joy into it. You will learn so much. You will grow so much. Don’t be afraid to try.
